Potato Patch

For those of you who have been asking about the Potato Patch on Mingus: The Verde Valley office of the Prescott National Forest advises that the opening date is Wednesday May 1st, 2013.

The park is holding 20 spots for us but you need to call and reserve your spot as soon as you can....because June is a busy month for them.  Their website is: www.coloradodirectory.com/riochamarv/   or call (575) 756-2303 and tell them that you are with the vintage trailer group or Arizona Round Up.

You can come early as you want and stay late as you want, just let them know.  I gave them my CC for them to hold my spot and have till May, I think she said, before they charge my card.

July 4th, 2013 Gathering

Show Low, Arizona

The Fourth of July parade will be held on Thursday July 4th

This year our AZ Roundup entry will be for "Vintage & Teardrop Trailers". With your help we can present a wonderful showing for the parade spectators.

The theme of the parade is, "Pride, Patriotism and the American Dream". So, put on your thinking caps and share your ideas for decorating the trailers & tow vehicles.

Participants are once again welcome to camp at "Betty's Place", 5 miles south of Show Low, for $5 per person per day. There are no hoopups but porta-potties & camp showers will be provided. If you prefer, there are several campgrounds in the area. You'll need to make reservations early as they fill up fast. The parade will be on Thursday and you are welcome to come Wednesday or before and stay beyond Thursday. Again, we need to be at the staging area in Show Low and prepared for judging by 8 AM on Thursday.

The parade officials need to know how many trailers will be in the entry. So, please contact Betty at betty1@cox.net and let her know if you'd like to participate. She'll be happy to answer your questions and send you directions to her place.
